DO fully appreciate the concerns organisations have in outsourcing critical business applications, particularly financial transactions, which directly affect cash flow and trading profitability.

DO staff have extensive experience in porting such applications and processes to an outsourcing platform, either from a company in-house situation or another outsourcer.

Depending on the size of the project we will allocate appropriate resources to ensure agreed milestones and timescales are met.

For larger projects or a complete suite of applications transfer we use formal Prince 2 methodology for Project Management with single points of contact established with the Customer and DO.

For new business our consultancy services costs are normally absorbed into the overall project costs but where required these can be purchased on a stand-alone basis.

A typical consultancy approach for a new DO customer would cover areas such as:

• Cost / Benefit Analysis - current systems against DO outsourced solution
• Processes re-engineering - identify efficiency savings and improvements
• Pre-printed stationery savings - address obsolescence and document impact
• Postal Management - maximise discounts and establish day definite service
• Data transfer method - security, data integrity, audit trail and controls
• Reporting requirements - job progress tracking, performance statistics
• Operational contingency - from both customer and DO perspectives
