Document Outsourcing are a Critical Mail organisation, specialising in the print, personalising and mailing of transactional mail. We have developed our expertise and insight over the last three years, to include in our service offering, a managed Postal service.

We have successfully created a postage wholesaling model, where we purchase logistics, specifically the transportation of mail around the UK to be subsequently injected into the Royal Mail infrastructure, downstream.

Through this practical experience we developed processes allowing us to track the mail logistics process around the UK and developed insight into the challenges such a process creates.

Over the last eighteen months we have developed and now launched our primepost service. This downstream access postal service differs from the established offering fundamentally in the following four ways:

• Designed for localised mail entry, where the envelope pack is created close to the end point delivery through the recipients letterbox.
• Commercial costs are based on the wholesale Zonal model
• Final delivery can be day definite.
• Primepost is an environmentally friendly service in that the service is based on a distribute and print model rather than a print and distribute which is the norm currently in the United Kingdom (therefore the distance the mailpiece travels is much shorter than traditional posting methods.

We have an excellent understanding of the Postal Market across industry sectors including Local Government. We also understand the alternate mailing service provider’s capability extremely well, including Royal Mail Group, TNT Post, UK Mail, DHL and other licensed operators.
